I’ve tried so many times, on this blog, to write glowing odes to some of the special people in my life as a tribute. Can I tell you, it hasn’t been the hit I was hoping it would be.
There is a person (let’s call her Alice) in my life that I imagine every time I write and picture myself talking to her. I envision Alice as my ideal reader or as writing experts would call ‘a tastemaker.’ Do you want to know what? Alice has never once mentioned the blog, not once, not EVER!
That’s why I’ve decided that today, I’m going to quote a dead dude instead. Yup, Ralph Waldo Emerson reminded me that,
the earth laughs in flowers
…and guess what laughing flowers do? they make you lighten up and look on the bright side.
God laughs, Mother Nature laughs, so do flowers, and now I have proof, so do Cardinals.
Who’s laughing now?
